Prime basketball :

KATHMANDU: Prime Sports Club is organising the fourth Prime Cup Basketball Tournament from November 4 in Kathmandu. In all, 16 boys and six girls’ team will fight for the championship. The boys’ tournament will be played under league-cum-knockout format while girls’ event will be played in round robin method. — HNS

KATHMANDU: Nirajan Malla struck twice as the Nepali U-17 Nobel Academy entered the quarter-finals beating Afghanistan 2-1 in the 46th Subroto Mukherjee Cup Inter-school Football Tournament in New Delhi today. The Nepali colts will play their quarter-final match on October 1. — HNS

Sagarmatha win :

LALITPUR: Sagarmatha and Kanchanjangha won their respective matches in the sixth Inter-Chyasal Football Tournament. Sagarmatha beat Machhapuchhre 3-0 while Rajendra Deul’s solitary goal saw Kanchanjangha beat Dhaulagiri 1-0. Aman Byanjankar scored two and Sanjay Byanjankar one for Sagarmatha. — HNS
