SAG players and coaches insured :

KATHMANDU: Everest Insurance Company Limited has insured all the players and coaches participating in the 10th South Asian Games in Colombo. The company has insured Rs 100,000 to 258 players and coaches for any ontoward accidents during the tournament. According to the National Sports Council, the central committee of the Employees’ Association at the NSC had initiated for insurance sponsorship. — HNS

Monsoon Meet :

KATHMANDU: Shridiwa School beat Shuvatara School 41-20 on the third day of the Monsoon Meet Inter-school Basketball Tournament. In the other senior boys’ section match, Wilson Academy beat Sambotta School. In the girls section, Rato Bangla ‘blue’ outplayed Shuvatara 32-8 and Himalaya International Model School (HIMS) overwhelmed Wilson Academy 16-6. In the junior boys’ section, St Xavier’s registered a comfortable 20-1 win over Shuvatara. — HNS
