C’ Division League

KATHMANDU: Kumari Yuva Club of Nayabazar came from a goal down to beat Sanepa Club 2-1 in the ‘C’ Division League football here on Tuesday. Bikram Thapa put Sanepa ahead in the 37th minute but Sujan Limbu levelled the scores two minutes later. Bikash Gurung fired home the winner in the 76th minute. In the other match, Shree Kumari Club of Balkhu and Bhar City Club played a 1-1 draw. Devendra Bhandari scored for Shree Kumari in the 37th minute and Nandu Khapangi equalised in the 71st minute for Bhar City. — HNS

LALITPUR: Madav Chaulagain struck a hat-trick as Gyanodaya Bal Batika defeated Trungram International Academy 4-3 in the Coca Cola Inter-school Football Tournament here today. Brihaspati Vidya Sadan beat Laboratory School 3-1 in another game. Raj Shrestha, Samit Lama and Sugat Shrestha scored for Brihaspati while Dipesh Kunwar scored for Laboratory. — HNS

APF stun MMC

KATHMANDU: Armed Police Force (APF) Club beat Manang Marsyangdi Club (MMC) 4-2 in a friendly match held as a preparation for the July 22 charity football match which is being organised by Nepal Sports Journalists’ Forum for the conflict-affected families of journalists.

League champions MMC and Nabil Three Star Club have come forward to help in the event coordinated by Federation of Nepalese Journalists. Meanwhile, Bhancha Ghar has announced a free lunch or dinner to the two best players of the match along with two spectators. Winners will be decided by the lucky draw, the organisers said. — HNS
