KATHMANDU: Bouddha Football Club defeated Mahabir Club 1-0 in the Group ‘A’ match of the Martyrs Memorial ‘B’ Division Football League. Arjun Subba scored the solitary goal in the 79th minute. This was Mahabir’s second straight loss, while Bouddha accumulated four points from two matches. — HNS

LALITPUR: Nepal APF defeated hosts St Xavier’s (Godavari) 6-0 to enter the quarter-finals of the 13th Fr Moran Inter-school Football Tournament. Bijay Sapkota and Prasanna Ranabhat scored two goals each, while Sabin Rokka and Manish Karki netted one goal apiece. LRI, Rose Bud and Little Angels’ also made it to the last eight. In the other match, Vivek Budhathoki scored the solitary goal as Dolphin beat Gyondaya 1-0. — HNS

SEBS enter finals
KATHMANDU: The teams of SEBS advance to the girls and junior boys’ finals at the eighth Valleywide Inter-school Volleyball Tournament here on Friday. In girls’ semi-finals, SEBS beat Annal Jyoti 19-25, 25-17, 25-16, 25-19 and New Diamond beat Madan Smarak 25-9, 25-16, 25-19. In junior boys’ section semi-finals, SEBS beat Sapta Gandaki 25-19, 25-23, 25-22 and Venus beat Mt Olive 25-13, 25-20, 14-25, 25-8. Likewise, Venus and Newton made it to the boys’ section final. — HNS

KATHMANDU: KNK College beat Shanker Dev College 1-0 in the final of the KNK Inter-college BBA Running Football Tournament here at the Chyasal grounds. Roshan Chaudhary scored for the winners in the 55th minute. — HNS

LALITPUR: Surya Darshan and Janamukti entered the British Gurkhas Cup quarter-finals. Both the teams defeated Himal Saving. Also, Kumari Saving and Bajrayogini made it to the last eight. — HNS
Reliance in semis
KATHMANDU: Reliance, Tops, Jyoti of Udaypur and Jyoti Academy of Kathmandu entered the second National Open Inter-school Handball Tournament semi-finals. Tops beat Siddhartha Shishu Sadan 15-7, Reliance thrashed Laboratory 22-5, Jyoti School outplayed Alpine 24-5 and Jyoti Academy earned a walkover win from Brihaspati. — HNS

KATHMANDU: Young Heart and NOBS entered the junior boys final of the fourth Unique Inter-school Basketball Tournament. Young Heart beat hosts Unique 27-22, while NOBS defeated Daffodil 23-13 in the semi-final. In girls section, NIMS and Kantipur advanced to the final. — HNS
