Kathmandu: Royal Beach Adventures and Arrna is organising an annual Multi Sports Adventure Challenge at the Royal Beach Camp in Trishuli from November 14-15. The event comprises competitions on trails, river and rope covering 4km of mountain running, 3km of white water kayaking/inner tubing or rafting and cannoeing down a 40 metres water fall, said the organisers on Monday. The event is a combination of three competitions — Open Multi Sports Adventure Challenge, Inter-college Multi Sports Challenge and Corporate Multi Sports Adventure Challenge. The Open Challenge is a solo competition and requires a competitors to run, cannoe and kayak whereas the Inter-college Challenge is a team event (three persons) of running, cannoeing and inner-tubing. Corporate Challenge is a group event (six person) of running, cannoeing and rafting. The winner of the Open Challenge will get Rs 10,000 while the Corporate Challenge winners will receive Rs 15,000 and Inter-college Challenge winners Rs 25,000. — HNS

U-17 National Cricket

KATHMANDU: Region No 1 (Biratnagar) will take on Region No 3 (Kathmandu) and Region No 4 (Bhairahawa) will meet Region No 6 (Baitadi) in the U-17 National Cricket League beginning here from Thursday. Six regional teams, also including Region No 2 (Birgunj) and Region No 5 (Nepalgunj) will vie for the championship. Region No 3 Cricket Development Committee is organising the event. The matches will be played at two venues — TU Stadium and Pulchowk Engineering Campus Grounds. The final will be played a the TU Stadium on November 15. — HNS

Coaching course begins

LALITPUR: Asian Football Confederation (AFC) ‘C’ Level Coaching Certificate Course began here on Monday. AFC coach Dr Birbal Singh of India is conducting the 12-day course. A total of 32 aspiring coaches including three ladies are taking part in the course. President of All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) Ganesh Thapa inaugurated the course on Monday. — HNS
