BRNO: Jorge Lorenzo claimed pole position in Saturday’s qualifying for the Czech Grand Prix.

He secured his second MotoGP pole of the season after setting a track record by covering the 3.358-mile Brno circuit in 1 minute, 54.989 seconds.

Lorenzo is second in the overall standings with 186 points, just nine points behind Valentino Rossi of Italy. Marc Marquez finished 0.074 seconds behind in second, is third with 139 points.
