Frankfurt, July 28:

German airline Lufthansa in a bid to get its nose in front for the 2006 World Cup has begun fitting its aircraft with a special “football nose”. The first Airbus A340-300 with a “football nose” took off from Germany for Japan on Tuesday carrying the Bayern Munich squad who are playing two friendlies in Tokyo. Around 30 other planes are to carry the black-and-white football pattern on its bow in the next few weeks.
