BHAKTAPUR: Makwanpur Cricket Club, Baluwatar Cricket Club and TipTop-XI advanced to the quarter-finals of the Khukuri Challenger T20 Cricket Tournament here at the Sainik Awasiya Mahavidhyalaya grounds on Wednesday.

In Group A match reduced to 18-over-a-side, Makwanpur defeated KCTC ‘A’ by one run. Batting first Makwanpur scored 109-9 and restricted KCTC to 108-9.

In Group C, Baluwatar saw off Lions Cricket Club by six wickets. Lions managed 104-6 in their allotted 15 overs before Baluwatar reached 108-4 in 14.3 overs.

In the 12-over-a-side  encounter of Group D, TipTop recorded a 10-wicket victory against IOE Pulchowk. Opting to bat first, Pulchowk reached 62-7 and TipTop scored 63 without loss in just four overs.
