LALITPUR:  Tennis players Mayanka Rana and Ira Rawat on Monday left for Singapore to take part in the WTF Road To Singapore scheduled for October 17-24.

Rana will compete in U-16 singles, while Rawat will take part in U-14 singles. Rana and Rawat were picked up after they won the selection tournament in May. Coach Krishna Raj Ghale accompanied the players to Singapore. Players from Singapore, Australia, China, Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Uzbekistan, Vietnam and Pacific Oceania region will take part in the competition.

Meanwhile, All Nepal Lawn Tennis Association President Jyoti Rana bade farewell to the team.
