Laxmi Hyundai Manang Marshyangdi Club thrashed defending champions Sunaulo Sangam 5-0 and advanced to the final of the third Madan Bhandari International Gold Cup Football Tournament here today.

Sujal Shrestha completed a hat-trick and Anjan Bista scored a brace in MMC’s victory. Shrestha opened the scoring in the 26th minute from spot after Sunaulo Sangam’s Ajit Thapa brought down MMC’s Bimal Rana inside the box.

Bista doubled the tally in the 31st minute, while Shrestha made it 3-0 in the 58th minute. Bista scored his second goal in the 65th minute before Shrestha completed a hat-trick in the 89th minute. Shrestha won the man-of-the-match award and he earned Rs 10,000.

Hosts Madan Bhandari Sports Academy will take on Ruslan Three Star Club in the second semi-final match on Sunday.
