GAIGHAT: Laxmi Hyundai Manang Marshyangdi Club defeated hosts Udaypur-XI 1-0 and advanced to the semi-finals of the fifth Rumpum Udaypur Gold Cup Football Tournament here at the Tharuhat Stadium on Sunday.

Bimal Rana’s second half solitary goal was enough for MMC to seal the victory and secure semi-final berth. Rana scored goal in 80th minute.

Udaypur goalie Rembo Chaudhary, who stood firm to deny MMC players on number of occasions, was named the man-of-the-match.

On Monday, Ruslan Three Star Club will take on Morang-XI.
