Kathmandu, January 11:

Salau Nurudeen scored twice as Manang Marsyangdi Club (MMC) beat Ranipokhari Corner Team (RCT) 2-0 while Friends Club and New Road Team (NRT) played a 1-1 draw in the Martyrs Memorial San Miguel ‘A’ Division League Football here today.

Nurudeen gave Carlsberg MMC the lead in the 34th minute on a pass from Anil Gurung before adding another in the 83rd minute. Nurudeen, who was later declared the Adidas man of the match, capitalised on the misunderstanding between Sony RCT defenders Pradeep Acharya and Ashok Pun to score his second goal of the match.

In the second game, Nilendra Dewan put NIB Friends Club ahead with a spectacular goal in the ninth minute but Jeevan Sinkeman equalised for NRT in the 54th minute. Kamal Bista of NRT won the Adidas man of the match award.
