Siddhanath lift trophy
KATHMANDU: Siddhanath Multiple College of Kanchanpur claimed the the Benoj Memorial Inter-college Volleyball Tournament on Sunday. In a see-saw final Siddhanath defeated Nepal Commerce Campus (NCC) 25-23, 23-25, 15-25, 25-21, 15-8 to pocket Rs 50,000 cash prize. Runners-up NCC took home Rs 30,000. Meanwhile, Prithvi Narayan Campus of Pokhara defeated Tikapur Multiple Campus of Kailali 25-16, 25-13, 19-25, 25-10 to get Rs 20,000 while Tikapur earned Rs 10,000. Naresh Chand of Siddhanath was declared the best player and earned Rs 5,000.
Ajaya wins sixth stage
KATHMANDU: National champion Ajaya Pandit continued his domination in the fourth Yak Attack Mountain Bike Championships winning the sixth stage on Sunday. In the 30km ride from Chame to Manang, Ajaya timed 2 hours 19 minutes 26 seconds to finish six minutes ahead of the second placed Mangal Krishna Lama. Ajaya, who won the Stage 1, 2 and 5, also lead the overall standings with 13:35: 26 while Mangal is second with 13:59:28. Australian veteran Phillip Hystek, who won the stage 3 and is third leader in the overall standings, finished in 14:45:54.

KATHMANDU: Nepal Handball Association has selected a 14-member team for the Under-21 IHF Challenge Trophy slated to begin from April 6 in Bangladesh. Bishal Basnet, Roshan Gurung, Sujan Kumar Sherchan, Bipin Bista and Bimal Thapa have found their places from Kaski. Likewise, Fuldev Chaudhary and Aswini Poudel (Udaypur), Dhiraj Singh and Sanjeev Thing (Lalitpur), Prabin Oagha and Surya Bhatt (Kailali), Jintendra Chand (Kanchanpur), Kishan Bhattachan (Baglung) and Rabin
Alley (Rupandehi) are the other
players to represent Nepal at the Challenge Trophy.
