KATHMANDU: National College won the title of the GCI Inter-college Futsal Tournament organised by Global College International here on Tuesday. Yunesh Awale and Bikrant Narshing Rana scored four goals each as National thrashed Little Angels’ College of Management 14-3 in final. Milan Ban netted a hat-ttrick for National, while Sabin Sapkota struck two and Nikesh Panta scored one. For LACM, Dheeraj Pahari scored two and Samir Lama netted one goal. National received Rs 20,000, while LACM bagged Rs 10,000. Shree Krishna Shrestha of Kanjirowa was named the best player, while his teammate Laxman Thapa received the best goalkeeper’s award. Bikrant Narshing Rana of National and Soyal Tamrakar of LACM were adjudged the best striker and defender respectively. South Asian record holder taekwondo ace Deepak Bista handed over the prizes.
