NCBS beat Orient College
Kathmandu, December 23:
National College of Business Studies (NCBS) defeated Orient College by 50 runs and Everest College beat New Summit College by 10 runs in the Thakur Nath Pant Memorial Inter-college Cricket Tournament here today.
NCBS scored 147-4 in 20 overs. Sagun Shrestha and Bijesh Thapa scored 23 runs each for NCBS while Suraj Nepal and Dhiraj Bhattarai both contributed unbeaten 29 and 21 runs respectively. Tenzing Sherpa took two while Ragish Tandukar claimed one wicket each for Orient.
In reply, Orient College managed only 97-8 in 20 overs. Major shares of their runs came through extras (56). Pranil Shrestha bagged two while Sambandha Pradhan, Sagun Shrestha, Kushal Ghale, man of the match Suraj Nepal and Subhash Sharma took one wicket each for NCBS.
In another match, Everest College compiled 121-9 in 20 overs. Utsav Dewan top scroed with 22 runs while Sidhartha Sharma made 20. Prajwol Subedi took three and Bikal Shah claimed two wickets for New Summit.
New Summit lost three early wickets before Pratik Dhakal (38) and Prajwal Subedi (26) gave a good fight back. New Summit made 111-6 in 20 overs. Nanda Kishor Mahato claimed three and Siddhartha Sharma two wickets for Everest College.
