In the Group A match, Saroj Dahal scored a brace as NCC filed a comprehensive 4-0 win over Vishwa Niketan College. Saroj gave NCC the lead in the 40th minute and four minutes later Sunil Maharjan struck to double their lead. Saroj then extended their lead further in the 53rd minute before Mahendra Chaudhary scored in 64th minute to complete the rout.

In the Group B match, Patan College toiled hard to secure their last eight berth with a 1-0 win over Pulchowk Engineering College. Rup Chandra Bista scored the decider in the 52nd minute after the first half ended on a goalless draw.

In another match, championship favourites Golden Gate International College outplayed Sirius College 4-0 with a brace from Ravi Thapa. Ravi struck early in the first minute of the game and three minutes later Sujal Shrestha doubled their lead. Ravi was on target for the second time in the game, extending his team's lead to 3-0 in the 41st minute. Rupak KC completed the formality scoring yet another goal for Golden Gate in the 56th minute.
