APF, NPC advance to final

Nepal APF Club and Nepal Police Club advanced to the final of the Shreejana International Women and Men Volleyball Tournament here at the Pokhara Stadium today.

APF sailed into the women’s category final, while NPC made it to the men’s final.

In the women’s semi-final, APF thrashed NPC in straight sets of 25-15, 25-14, 25-15. APF’s Reshma Bhandari was named the player-of-the-match.

APF will now face either New Diamond Academy or Western Regional Volleyball Association. The second semi-final match between NDA and Western will be played on Thursday.

In the men’s semi-final, NPC recorded a hard-fought 3-1 victory over APF. NPC took first set 30-28 but APF bounced back to win the second set 25-19. NPC then won the next two sets 25-16 and 25-14 to complete the victory. NPC’s Kul Bahadur Thapa won the man-of-the-match award.

In Thursday’s second semi-final match, Tribhuvan Army Club will play against Western Region.
