LALITPUR: Nepal Don Bosco School and St Xavier’s Jawalakhel School advanced to the final of the 21st Fr Moran Memorial Invitational Football Tournament here on Sunday.

In the first semi-final match played at the St Xavier’s Godavari School grounds, Don Bosco outplayed Crescent Academy 5-4 in penalty shootout after their 1-1 draw in the regulation period. Nischal KC netted a goal for Don Bosco and Shobhakar Rokaya was the scorer for Crescent before the winners were decided through spot kick. In another match of the day, St Xavier’s Jawalakhel defeated hosts St Xavier’s Godavari 2-1 to make it to the final. Nishant Thapa Magar and Kritigya Pandey scored a goal each for winning team, while Suprim Silwal netted the consolation goal for the hosts. The third place and final matches will be played on Monday.
