Kathmandu, September 15

Nepal  will take on hosts Malaysia in the semi-final match of the ACC U-19  Eastern Regional Tournament at the Club Aman in Kuala Lumpur on  Saturday.

Nepal topped Group A after winning all three matches, while Malaysia finished as Group B runners-up with two victories. In  the group matches, Nepal thrashed Thailand by 255 runs before  outplaying Bhutan by nine wickets. Nepal defeated Singapore by seven  wickets to remain unbeaten in the group. Similarly, Malaysia  defeated Myanmar by nine wickets and saw off China by 225 runs before  facing a six-wicket defeat against Hong Kong.

Another semi-final pits Group B winners Hong Kong and Group A runners-up Singapore on the same day.

The  two finalists will qualify for the ACC U-19 Asia Cup which will also be  hosted by Malaysia later this year. The final will be played on Sunday.
