Nepal to face Pak in opener

Kathmandu, November 5

Nepal will take on Pakistan in the opening match of the Women's Asia Cup 2016 at the Terdthai Cricket Ground in Bangkok on November 26, while Bangladesh face India in the first match of the day.

A total of six teams are taking part in the tournament which will be played under Twenty20 format.

Hosts Thailand and Sri Lanka are the other two teams. Thailand earned the berth as the hosts of the tournament, while Nepal qualified for the event after they finished runners-up behind Thailand in the ICC Women’s World Cup Qualifiers Asia Region in Hong Kong last month.

Nepal will play against Sri Lanka on November 28 and face Bangladesh the following day.

The Nepali women’s team will take on Thailand on December 1 before facing India the next day. The final of the tournament is slated for December 4. All the matches will be played at the Terdthai Cricket Ground.
