NOC, IME sign deal

LALITPUR: Nepal Olympic Committee and Global IME Bank on Thursday signed an agreement for Rio Olympic Games squad. As per the memorandum of understanding, signed by NOC President Jeevan Ram Shrestha and Head of Marketing and Business Promotion at Global IME Bank Prasanna Banskota, the sponsors will provide the Olympic squad members with sports kits. “The sponsorship of Global IME Bank is to encourage the players who have raised national flags in international arena,” said NOC in a release. “We are thankful to Global IME Bank for their generous support for the Nepali sports,” it added. Nepal is sending a 23-member squad including seven players and five coaches to the Olympic Games slated for August 5-21 in Rio de Janeiro.
