KATHMANDU: Nepal national team will play the Bangabandhu Gold Cup International Football Tournament 2016, scheduled for January 8-18, in Bangladesh.

Other teams competing in the prestigious tournament include the national teams of Malaysia, Bahrain, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Cambodia, Nepal and Bangladesh and the Bangladesh Under-23 team.

Prior to the tournament, Nepal along with other South Asian countries are competing in the SAFF Championship 2015 in Kerala of India.

Nepal are currently at 192nd position in the FIFA ranking.
