Nepal to meet Maldives in Bangabandhu semis
KATHMANDU: Nepal will lock horns with the Maldives, the topper of Group B, in the semifinals of Bangabandhu Gold Cup in Dhaka on Tuesday.
In their last match of Group B, the Maldives and Bahrain played a 1-1 draw today. Maldives topped the group with seven points, while Bahrain finished second with five points.
Nepal and Bangladesh played a goalless draw in the last match of Group A yesterday. With five points each, Nepal finished as the runners-up based on the goal difference. Both the teams, however, had already made it to the semifinals.
Baharain will meet the hosts in the first semifinals, scheduled for Monday.
