KATHMANDU: A three-member Nepali athletics team on Tuesday left for Bangladesh to participate in the Sheilkh Mujib Dhaka Marathon slated for January 10.
Kiran Singh Bogati and Pushpa Bhandari will take part in the event, while coach Dhani Ram Chaudhary accompanied the players to Dhaka.
Both the athletes had bagged medals in the 13th South Asian Games held in Kathmandu in December 2019. Bogati won the men’s marathon, while Bhandari finished second in women’s event.
Nepal Athletics Association President Rajeev Bikram Shah bade farewell to the team.
