Nepali golfers on top

KATHMANDU: Nepali golfers Tanka Bahadur Karki and Arun Tamang were at the top two spots midway through the Bhutan Open Golf Championship at the Royal Thimpu Golf Course on Friday.

Nepal No 2 Karki played a round of six-over 76 with the help of two birdies to move at the top of the leaderboard with the total score of 10-over 150 after the second round of the championship. Overnight leader Arun Tamang played seven-over 77 to slip to second with the score of 13-over 153.

Md Rippon was third at 154 after he shot two-over 72. The Nepali pair was also at the top of the standing, ahead of Bangladesh and two teams from Bhutan in the four-team competition.
