Nepal’s contracted cricketers to receive outstanding salaries from ICC

KATHMANDU: The board meeting of the International Cricket Council has decided to pay the outstanding salaries of the Nepali national cricket players.

The Board and Committee meeting of the international cricket governing body held in Dubai for five days had made the decision, ICC said in a press release issued today.

“The ICC Board also agreed to a recommendation from the Development Committee to pay the outstanding salaries to national contracted players whilst the Cricket Association of Nepal is suspended and undergoing constitutional reform and reinstatement process,” read the statement.

But the suspension of the Cricket Association of Nepal’s membership would still continue, ICC said.

Speaking to the THT Online over phone, National skipper Paras Khadka said they were entitled to receive contracted salary of sixteen months.
