Nepal's squad against Namibia announced

KATHMANDU: Nepal Sports Council (NSC) on Thursday announced an 18-member squad ( (14 regular and four reserve) for the ICC World Cricket League Championship round-three matches against Namibia.

Paras Khadka, Gyanendra Malla, Sagar Pun, Naresh Budhayer, Sharad Vesawakar, Rajesh Pulami, Binod Bhandari, Basant Regmi, Shakti Gauchan, Sompal Kami, Karan KC, Bikram Sob, Anil Mandal, Dipendra Singh Airee have been selected for the match against Namibia.

Similarly, Nepal U-19 skipper Raju Rijal, Sandeep Lamichhane, Susan Bhari and Prem Tamang are also in the team.

Paras Khadka will lead the squad with Gyanendra Malla as his deputy.

It has been learned that Bikram Sob, Dipendra Singh Airee, Prem Tamang and Anil Mandal have been kept in the reserve squad.

Meanwhile, Subash Khakurel, Siddhant Lohani, Sunil Dhamala, Manjit Shrestha, Avinas Karn, Arif Sheikh and Pradeep Airee, who were in the closed training camp, could not make it to the Nepali team.

The matches will be played at the Tribhuvan University cricket stadium in Kirtipur on April 16 and 18.
