No bitterness now, says Sherpa

KATHMANDU, June 30

Vice-president of National Sports Council Lama Tendi Sherpa ruled out any bitterness with Member Secretary Keshav Kumar Bista. Speaking at a press conference organised by the NSC on Tuesday, Sherpa said he would team up with Bista and other Members to take Nepali sports to a different level. “No doubt, we were in a race to become the Member Secretary. But as our party (CPN-UML) decided in his favour, the race is over. We will stay together and work for Nepali sports,” added Sherpa, ending the speculation after Minister for Youth and Sports Purushottam Paudel, who belongs to Madhav Kumar Nepal faction, angered KP Oli and his associates by appointing Bista without consulting the party leadership.
