No contract for Lehmann

Ageing Australia’s all-rounder Darren Lehmann was not included among the 25 players issued contracts by the country’s cricket board here on Tuesday. Martin Love, Ian Harvey, Matthew Elliott, Jimmy Maher and Brad Williams have also not been offered new contracts, announced Cricket Australia (CA). “Lehmann has been a wonderful player over many years and is held in high regard by not only his teammates but also by the selectors,” chairman of the selection panel Trevor Hohns said. Lehmann has played 27 Tests and 117 ODIs since making his debut in 1996-97.
