KATHMANDU: NOBS and Kantipur won their girls’ section matches in the second Odyssey Inter-school Junior Basketball Tournament on Monday. Srijana Bhandari scored match-winning 15 points as NOBS beat Lyceum 26-24 while Kantipur eased to a comfortable 39-12 win over Manjugokchha with Ronahi Limbu chipping in 15 points for the winners. Winners in the boys’ section included New Shrine, New Zenith, NOBS, Panchayan and hosts Odyssey. New Zenith lost one and won one game. New Shrine saw off New Zenith 40-37 before New Zenith beat Teresa 34-24. NOBS registered a thrilling 35-34 win over Manjugokcha while Panchayan defeated Mt Glory 35-21 and Odyssey edged past Jagat Mandir 29-16.
