Kathmandu, February 25:

Nava Pragatisil Samaz (NPS) defeated Nava Jagaruk Club (NJC) by 49 runs during the U-19 Kathmandu District Selection Cricket Tournament here at the Tribhuvan University Stadium on Wednesday.

Batting first, NPS were bowled out for 171 in 38.2 overs with Ashish Byanjankar making 68 and Sakar Shrestha 34.

Sandesh Gathtoda took four and Sarthak Chhetri claimed three wickets for NJC. Rajeev Shakya claimed 6-18 as NJC could muster only 122 in 29.3 overs.

Nishant Gathtoda contributed 41 and Kiran Budha 24 for NJC. Apart from man of the match Rajeev, Ravindra Yadav also took three wickets.
