O’Donnell ruled out

DUBLIN: Ireland flanker Tommy O’Donnell has been ruled out of contention for the Rugby World Cup after dislocating his hip in a warm-up match against Wales on Saturday. Ireland say on Monday in a medical bulletin that O’Donnell “will be limited to non-weight bearing activity for at least six weeks.” The World Cup starts September 18. O’Donnell required oxygen on the Millennium Stadium field after getting injured in the 75th minute of Ireland’s 35-21 win. The final 31-man squads for the World Cup will be announced on August 31.
