Paras Khadka shines as Team Chauraha Dhangadhi earn play-off berth

DHANGADHI: Team Chauraha Dhangadhi bulldozed their way through Rupendhehi Challengers to secure their place in play-off, riding on the blazing batting of skipper Paras Khadka on the eighth day of Dhangadhi Premier League played at the Seti Zone Police Office Ground in Dhangadhi on Monday.

Defending champions in do-or-die situation had to win big to progress into play-off by chasing down a given target within 14 overs.

They managed to attain their target in style as captain Khadka, who has been struggling with his form, post appendix operation, scored his tournaments' personal best of 42 runs of 21 balls as he plundered 2 humongous sixes and 7 boundaries to the fence.

Rupandehi Challengers slumped to their first defeat of the tournament but still managed to progress into next round as table topper.

Earlier, Rupandehi Challengers had won the toss and elected to bat first and managed to muster only 91 runs on board with the loss of six wickets in their allotted 20 overs.
