Players set to depart


KATHMANDU: A seven-member Nepal Muitai Association team is set to leave for Bangkok on Friday to participate in the Muitai World Championship scheduled for March 18-26. The team includes four players — Ganesh Kakchhyapati (67kg), Deepak Godar (71kg), Nawaraj Bhandari (77kg) and Nirmal Pahari (81kg) - a coach (Umesh Khadka), referee (Sudip Pandit Chhetri) and an official (Uvaraj Khadka). Best performer in the tournament will get a chance to play in the fourth IMGC World Sports slated for 2011 in Estonia. The Nepal Martial Arts Games Committee (NMGC) President Krishna Bahadur Balal bade farewell to the team here on Thursday.
