Kathmandu: Prime College claimed the third Benoj Memorial Inter-college Basketball Tournament with a 70-46 win over Trinity International College here on Wednesday. The champions received Rs 50,000 and the runners-up got Rs 30,000. Star performer of the match Sushil Gurung, who scored a whooping 49 points alone in final, was adjudged the best player of the tournament and pocketed Rs 10,000. His sparkling performance in the tournament also earned him the full scholarship (tuition fee) in Bachelor’s degree in Prime College, where he is a Grade XII student. Meanwhile, Reliance Academy defeated Xavier International College 61-35 in the third-place playoff. Reliance won Rs 20,000 and Xavier received Rs 10,000.
