KATHMANDU: National Sports Council is organising the first Prime Minister Cup Inter-university National Games from July 11. The tournament features competitions in five sports disciplines — men’s volleyball, basketball, badminton, table tennis and chess, informed the NSC in a release on Thursday. More than 200 players from eight universities will take part in the three-day tournament, said Min Sharma, Administrative Officer at NSC’s Tournament and Planning Department. NSC has formed a 16-member committee under it Member Ganga Bahadur Thapa. The estimated budget of the Games is Rs 3.5 million.
