KATHMANDU: Arshiya Banu and Shreeyog Basnyat won the titles of the Qatar Airways Open Golf Tournament here at the Gokarna Golf Club on Friday.

Played under stableford 3/4 handicap format, Banu accumulated 34 points to claim the women’s section trophy.

Pratima Sherpa finished second with 31 points. Likewise, Basnyat won the junior section nine-hole competition with the score of 14 points.

A total of six women and three junior golfers took part in the tournament. On Saturday, 100 men will compete for the main prize.
