NEPALGUNJ: Rupandehi-XI came from a goal down to beat Nepal Police Club 2-1 and advanced to the final of the second Nepalgunj Gold Cup Football Tournament here at Nepalgunj Stadium on Tuesday.

Amar Dangol netted a brace for Rupandehi after Jumanu Rai had put NPC ahead in the 33rd minute in the day’s semi-final match. Dangol scored the equaliser for Rupandehi in the 35th minute and sealed the victory in the 74th minute.

In Thursday’s final, Rupandehi will face CMG Club Sankata, who had defeated Far-west 5-4 in penalty shootout on Monday. Top two teams will get Rs 500,000 and Rs 251,000 respectively.
