Sahara Club of Pokhara defeated the UKFC Kurseong 3-2 on the second day of the Tribhuvan Memorial Gold Cup Football tournament, which has been organised by Gold Cup Organising Committee under the sponsorship of Himalayan Snax and Noodles Pvt Ltd, here at the Mechi stadium.

Udaya Thapa gave an early lead to UKFC Kurseong when he found the net in the third minute. On the 29th minute, Naresh KC of Sahara Club scored the equaliser. Sahara Club took lead in the 35th minute through Jaya Thapa.

Anil Gurung ‘C’ of Sahara Club, who was later adjudged the man of the match, made it 3-1 in the 55th minute, while Krispian Kshetri of UKFC Kurseong reduced the margin to 3-2 in the 67th minute. Two players of the UKFC were cautioned during the match. On Sunday, Mahendra Police Club will take on Morang-XI at the same venue.
