Shrestha earns points

KATHMANDU: Nepal’s Safal Ram Shrestha completed both Race 1 and 2 in Alpine GS event in the FIS Race boosting his chances to qualify for the second Youth Olympic Games. A total of 72 skiers from Nepal, South Korea, Japan, China, Russia, Lebanon and Taiwan took part in the boys’ section, informed Nepal Ski Association President Jeevan Ram Shrestha. Sangita Khadka completed the Race 1 but she failed in the Race 2. In all, 38 athletes participated in girls’ race. The Youth Olympics is slated for February in Norway.
