Kathmandu, December 12:

SP Rajendra Shrestha took the lead after the first day of the second Spey Livet Golf Tournament here at the Royal Nepal Golf Club today.

Played under stableford 3/4 handicap format, Shrestha accumulated 38 points. Deepak Rajbhandari finished the day at second position with 36 points, while Neeraj SJB Rana and Dhiraj Gurung were placed joint third at 32 points.

A total of 24 golfers played on the first day, while the other 52 golfers will play their rounds on Saturday.

The winner will receive two round tickets to Bangkok while the runner up will get two mountain flight tickets from Yeti Airlines.

The Hole-in-One feat will earn a grand prize — Maruti Alto Lx car. Spey Livet Premium Rare Whisky is the sponsor, while Maruti, Yeti Airlines, Hotel Shangri-La and Lowenbrau are the official partners of the tournament.
