Shuttlers to got to Pune

Kathmandu, October 24:

A four-member Nepali badminton team is on Saturday leaving for India to participate in the World Junior Badminton Championship to be held in Pune from October 24 to November 3.

Sajan Krishna Tamrakar and Raju Paneru will participate in the Under-19 boys’ singles and boy’s doubles events at the championship, said Nepal Badminton Association (NBA) at a farewell ceremony on Friday. NBA President Prakash Bahadur Shahi and General Secretary Ramji Bahadur Shrestha are the other members of the team.

Players from more than 43 countries are participating in the championship. Member of the National Sports Council Laxman Shrestha bade farewell to the team.
