Kathmandu, August 17:

The cabinet meeting on Wednesday has retained Kishor Bahadur Singh as the member secretary of National Sports Council. Singh had been the care-taker member secretary of the sports governing of the country after the cabinet dissolved the council in April. The cabinet also nominated five other members, while other six members will be nominated later from different development regions.

Those nominated on Wednesday included G N Sharma, president of Nepal Weight Lifting Association; Rama Singh, president of Women’s Football Association under the ANFA; Diwas Bikram Shah, vice president of Nepal Karate Federation; Deepak Bajracharya, president of Nepal Judo Association; and Unesh Ansari, the only member who does not belong to sport fraternity.
