Sipradi Trading sponsors two U-19 cricketers

Sipradi Trading Pvt Ltd today signed the sponsorship agreements with U-19 cricketers Aarif Sheikh and Sunil Dhamala.

As per the deal, Sheikh and Dhamala will receive Rs 20,000 each per month for two years.

Director of Sipradi Trading P Ltd Shambhu Prasad Dahal handed over the contract papers to Sheikh and Dhamala amidst a programme today.

Dahal informed that the company would also provide the players with cricketing kits and other supports in near future. “This is our first involvement in sports and we are determined for their success,” said Dahal.

The players said such supports inspire them to do better in the field. “I will try my best to put in my best in future,” said allrounder Sheikh, who represented Nepal in the ICC U-19 World Cup held in Bangladesh this year and played all six matches. Sheikh, the top order batsman and medium pace bowler, made his national team debut last year against Namibia.

Thanking Sipradi Trading Pvt Ltd for the generous support, Dhamala said such inspirational moves from corporate sector would strengthen players. “We are committed of doing better in the field and such supports inspire them,” said Dhamala, the U-19 top order batman. He also played all six matches and top scored with 59 runs against Namibia.

Cricket Players’ Association Nepal (CPAN) facilitated the deal. National team skipper Paras Khadka, who is also the General Secretary of CPAN, said the main target of the association was to lure corporate sectors to endorse the players. “Corporate sector’s involvement in cricket is important as it helps players become financially strong,” said Khadka. “The players do not need to worry much about their families and they can concentrate on their game for better results. And this will also motivate others to play cricket,” said Khadka.
