KATHMANDU: Nepali boxers Sisam Thapa Magar and Asmita Duwal faced defeats in the AIBA Youth Women’s World Boxing Championship in Guwahati, India on Monday.

Magar lost to Emily Mauermann of Germany 5-0 in the 57kg weight category, while Duwal faced defeat against D’almeida Gloria of France by the same scoreline in the 45-48kg section.

On Sunday, Nepal’s Sanu Maya Thing lost in the 51kg event.

Kusum Tamang, who got bye in the first round of 54kg event, will fight against the winner of the match between Puszka Daria of Poland and Fayzullaeva maftuna of Uzbekistan, on Tuesday.
