Sixers fall to Mavericks after talk with Iverson
DALLAS: Dirk Nowitzki scored 28 points and Jason Terry sank the game-winning basket with 1.4 seconds remaining, sparking Dallas past Philadelphia 104-102 as the 76ers lost their seventh game in a row.
Jason Kidd added a season-high 22 points and 11 assists as the Mavericks recovered from squandering a 17-point lead before winning on Terry's clutch basket.
The 76ers met earlier in the day with former 76er guard Allen Iverson, who retired last week but could return in a Philadelphia uniform to help the 5-13 club try and reverse the team's fortune.
Willie Green scored a season-high 23 points for Philadelphia while Elton Brand and Thaddeus Young each added 21 points for the 76ers. Andre Iguodala missed a desperation jump shot at the buzzer that would have won for the 76ers.
