KATHMANDU: The government on Tuesday formed committees to prepare for the 13th South Asian Games. According to the National Sports Council, Prime Minister will be the head of the High-level Monitoring and Management Committee that is responsible of coordinating and instructing the concerned authorities to make the Games a grand success. The SA Games Management Committee, led by Minister for Youth and Sports, will formulate plans and budget in coordination with Finance Ministry, maintain and construct infrastructure, prepare the list of sports disciplines, finalise venues, prepare logo and mascot and software apart from preparing for the ceremonies, forming sub-committees, monitoring and managing the preparation of the athletes. Nepal had received the South Asian Olympic Council flag as a host of the 13th SA Games during the closing ceremony of the previous edition held in Guwahati and Shillong in February.
