KATHMANDU: Chandra Dhanuk won gold medal in 100m race in the visually-impaired category of the Valleywide Special Athletics Tournament here at the Dasharath Stadium on Saturday.

Sagar Lama came first in 100m race for blind players. Baburam Karki and Dhana Magar bagged shot put gold medals, while Chitra Bahadur Lama and Lasta Maharjan came first among deaf participants in 200m and 400m races.

Raju Chaudhary and Laxmi Maharjan won the long jump gold medals in deaf category, while Bharat BC and Rajani Rai bagged gold medals in 200m wheelchair race.

National Sports Council Member Secretary Keshab Kumar Bista handed over the prizes to the winners of the tournament organised by Nepal Para Athletics.
