LALITPUR: Shelter Ashraya Nepal, under the technical assistance of All Nepal Football Association, is organising the Street Children League at the Dasharath Stadium from September 6-8.

A total of 14 teams will take part in the league being organised to select players for the Street Child World Cup to be held in Russia from May 19-27, informed Shelter Ashraya President Khusbhu Oli at a press meet on Wednesday.

The participating teams will be divided into four groups for the league-cum-knockout format league. Top team each from all groups will advance to the semi-finals.

The league matches will be of 30-minute duration, while the matches from the semi-finals will be of 40 minutes. A total of 18 players will be picked up from the league and they will be kept in camp. After the training, a nine-member team will be picked up for the World Cup.
