Kathmandu: Balram Thapa of APF and Sumina Shrestha of Biratnagar won the men’s and women’s singles title at the third Krishna Mohan Memorial Open Badminton Championship. Balram defeated Pashupati Paneru 21-19, 12-21, 21-19 while Sumina came back from a set down to beat Sara Devi Tamang 19-21, 25-23, 21-17. Kishor Rana lifted the U-19 boys’ title while Sujana Shrestha claimed the girls’ title. Other winners were Paneru and Ram Singh Chaudhary (men’s doubles), Sumina and Sara Devi (women’s doubles), Balram and Samjhana Khaling (mixed doubles), Puspa Tamrakar and Chandra Shekhar Lama (veterans’ doubles).
